just talked to an ex general
in track, that is
a name that struck fear into fellow runners
a name, when mentioned, made ppl cringe
menacing speed, he had
800 was his event

of course, that was the past
he had since golden baisin wash hand
retired from the rounds on red rubber

he's now a mountain biker
and still a cool guy
says he'll come down to watch me run
run that 2 rounds

so now there's all the more reason to run well
there's more motivation for me
his support worked some wonders
gave me some push
cuz i want to see him back
clad in his running kit
armed with his spikes
and to run alongside him once again
