i was water baptised today
i used to think it was just a dunk
notwithstanding all the symbolism
that it was just an act, a declaration
nothing more, nothing less
today walking to the pulpit
sharing my life story
taking the dunk
was magical
very, very magical
i regret not basking in it
the downside was that
my mom was non-participating again
and only a small group was there
since they detached it from the main service
meaning i couldn't share my story with more
